Should I go to the doctor?
1: In Utah you IF you have insurance you have PIP coverage which is at least $3000 of medical coverage.
2: after PIP ($3,000) is gone the AT FAULT insurance bodily injury coverage is responsible for the rest of the bills.
What is PIP?
Personal Injury Protection, which in Utah is a minimum of $3000, per person in the vehicle, of medical coverage.
Why do I have to use my PIP if I wasn’t at fault?
1: The at fault insurance has to reimburse the NOT at fault insurance’s PIP.
2: You can purchase higher PIP limits and the AT FAULT insurance still has to repay the PIP coverage.
Should I take the ambulance?
If you feel it is necessary then absolutely take the ambulance. PIP will cover most or all of that bill.
Should I go to the ER?
1: Even if you don’t take the ambulance you should always get checked out at the ER or an instant care.
2: If you have a primary care doctor or a chiropractor that can get you in ASAP, that would also be a good option.
Should I leave my car in storage?
Try to get your car out of storage as soon as possible, these charges stack up quickly.
